Reproduction medallions, for their production of King Lear, to be mounted on costume
RSC Medallions
We were approached by Ed Parry the costume supervisor of the RSC and asked if we could make some medallions for their forthcoming production of King Lear. They were to be mounted on the King’s robes.
Ed supplied us with some images and dimensions of what he wanted. We made some initial moulds for approval and then took some clear PETG vacuum formings from the moulds.
Subsequently the RSC costume department applied gold leaf to them to give the dramatic final result.
Images supplied by the RSC and Ellie Kurttz.
